How to Market Through Facebook
Almost everyone who uses the Internet is familiar with Facebook. The question "are you on Facebook?" is on the tongue of everyone who wants to get in contact with each other. Facebook is now the most popular social networking site available, far out doing all of the similiar competing sites. One's Facebook profile can be a window into interactions with other people. But, what does this mean to marketers? All it means is that Facebook is replete with potential targeted traffic, and you have to take advantage of that.

There are a variety of activities that keep the millions of Facebook users coming back over and over, including playing games, meeting new people, and chatting with old and new friends. It's for these reasons that people love to use Facebook on the Internet. If you were able to get one word about your business to an audience that big, chances are that some of the traffic you get will convert. In this article, we'll talk about how your business can benefit from using Facebook, and things to consider in this pursuit.

Social Ads are the simplest method that you can use to market your service or product on Facebook. It is similar to Google Adwords, but there are some key differences. This is the easiest method of using Facebook for marketing, and their setup is very user-friendly. You can revise your marketing strategy by gender, age, interest or even geographical location by using Facebook Social Ads. So, your advertisements will be focused on the specific group you are looking for, and you won't be spending a lot of money to market to people who have no interest in your product. Your click through rates will improve and this means better, more loyal customers and many more sales that will help you make your business a profitable one.

A photo can be included with your advertisement, if you have one. Using images in advertising helps your ads get noticed faster and makes them more memorable too. The key element of your advertisement is the ad copy; do not neglect it. It's advisable to hire someone to write your ad copy if you cannot do it effectively yourself. Don't forget to make an effective design also.

There are other ways to advertise on Facebook besides paying for advertising, and a couple of those are to use groups or pages. This will only work if you're able to create a word of mouth response with your audience, but could work out best of all. What you basically do is, create a group/page on Facebook that is focused on your business. After that, advertise it in order to get people to become a fan of it, or just become a member of the group. When you make a group, you are given the option to invite people to join, but if you make a page, you won't have the same option. To alert people to your page and bring them to it, you will need to advertise it by some other means and in some other place. Either route you choose is going to help your following grow and bring you more customers for your product.

The bottomline is that Facebook has become a social network with a purpose. If you use it right, Facebook can really help your business and assist in marketing your products and services to a fresh customer base. Just keep experimenting and testing various options so you can find the Facebook success formula that works best for you.
